KAWASAKI EN 500
Jerry S, 20.08.2010
KAWASAKI EN 500 I've had the original Dunlops on the bike, and changed them for Metzeler ME880 Marathons. What a nice difference in how it feels, you don't feel the grooves anymore and the bike is much steadier when it rains. The bike goes into turns more smoothly and overall is much nicer to ride. I can recommend these tires highly for me it was well worth it.

TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE 675
Joseph, 05.07.2010
TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE 675 I have a Triumph str Triple 675cc year 2010 and it has brigstone tyres BT016. In Malta the roads are very slipery and the motor cycle used to skid, I had to lower the tyre pressure and it was better, but know after 3000km they are much better. When I tried the motorcycle in Italy it was fantastic lots of grip and very good handling, no vibrations from high speeds and very comfortable and good wearing quality.

HONDA CBF 1000
ukiboy, 26.04.2010
HONDA CBF 1000 I can vouch for Avon tyres: my CBF1000 came with horrible BT57 oe tyres and i swapped them over for Avon Storm Ultra's after about 4k miles. The Avon Storms are great tyres, give loads of feedback, good in the wet, warm up quickly and are stable. I've used Avons on previous bikes and love 'em!

HARLEY V-ROD MUSCLE
viktória kós, 13.04.2010
HARLEY V-ROD MUSCLE I had the chance to test a set of METZELLER ME880 tires for my '07 VRSCDX.I found these tires a little harder than the ones I was used to.Overall I was happy with them but I have to add that I did not really have a choice to pick other tyres bacause I wanted a 260 wide rear tyre and METZELLER is the only one who makes them.

HONDA CB 1300
CB1300slingman's , 18.02.2010
HONDA CB 1300 Good Points

Feel, stability at speed, traction. Roundness!

Bad Points

Because of the great performance I suspect the tyre may not last. We will see. 2 more mm of tread would be good !!

General Comments

Dubious about Continentals after poor performance of road attacks with my 1200 Bandit, but since the price of bridgestone 021's went through the roof I thought another go with these new Conti Motions for my Honda CB1300 which were a whole £45 cheaper than the 021's were in order. 1st impressions were good with virtually none of the teflon type release compound evident on the tyres, and in the hand the tyres felt more flexible than the bridgestones which do have a firm feel. I was still dubious that my big CB13 would rip these puppies to death in 2k miles like it did with Dunlop Roadsmarts..so a pair fitted and did the usual quiet first 70 miles to scrub them in and had no moments at all and everything was fine. The scrubbing in was done in wet weather and "washed" the tyre off nicely before the first dry day for ages, so time for a 80% scratch around the Forest Of Dean, the tyre behaved brilliantly and gave me great feel, better than the Dunlop Roadsmarts, and around the same grip levels. The tyre was noticeably hotter (which is good) than i have noticed before with other makes and at this time I would say with the much better feel of the road and the same level of grip as the Dunlops I would say the Conti's are better all round. When the big CB gets on the edge of the tyre it gives a little "feel" that you are approaching the limit which the Dunlop didnt and I personnally liked that although the Dunlop never did anything it shouldnt! Done 1200 miles now and the tyre is now in my mind a great Sport Touring tyre which as long as it does the minimum of 3.5k which I feel should be the minimum for a ST tyre then I will be a happy bunny.

BMW F 800 S
Richard H. Bright, 04.09.2009

BMW HP2 SPORT
msu, 10.06.2009
BMW HP2 SPORT The Metzeler tires are bloody marvelous - the rear's 190/55-profile helps the bike roll over onto its side smoothly and quickly. Secondly, the basic tubular steel chassis and Ohlins suspension comes together to perfectly suit a smooth, fast riding style.

There's more feel from the HP2's Telelever front end than the latest GSX-R1000 could give with ten minutes spent fiddling its damping adjusters. And the rear's set up of Paralever shaft and single shock is a good as any chain-driven bike. Add all this up and you've got a bike that instills the same level of confidence as clocking up several laps of your local knee-down roundabout on a 600 supersport with snot-like tires.
