 Der von Metzeler als Supersportallroundreifen positionierte „Sportec M3“ ist ab sofort auch in der Dimension 190/55 ZR17 Metzeler M3 erhältlich. Die Größe mit 55er-Querschnittsverhältnis biete gegenüber einem Hinterradreifen der Standarddimension 190/50 ein spürbares Plus an Fahrspaß, sagt das Unternehmen. Dies sei auch der Grund, warum immer mehr Motorradhersteller bei der Erstausrüstung insbesondere ihrer leistungsstarken Sportmaschinen auf die „handlingfreundlichere Kontur“ eines 190/55er-Reifens setzen. Als ein aktuelles Beispiel dafür wird die Marke BMW genannt, die ihre Modelle K 1300 S und K 1300 R demnach neuerdings mit dem „Sportec M3“ in der Dimension 190/55 ZR17 M/C (75W) TL vom Band laufen lässt. Zudem gibt es laut Metzeler für diese Reifengröße bereits erste „Sportec-M3“-Freigaben unter anderem für die Ducati 1198/S bzw. 1098/R/S, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, Yamaha YZF-R1 (2009) sowie KTM 1190 RC8 / R

 Bridgestone’s new Battlax BT-028 radials will be the only original fitment on the new Yamaha VMAX when the power cruiser hits the street in 2009.
The machine will be riding on 120/70R18 59V on the front and 200/50R18 76V on the rear.
The front tyre features a multi-cross belt construction with a compound chosen for light handling and longer wear life for touring sport. Optimisation of the pattern, compound and construction gives the front tyre a light and neutral handling character, making it easier to control big and powerful bikes.
The rear tyre pattern with its newly-designed solid blocks offers outstanding traction to deliver the massive power of the VMAX to the road surface. The Steel Mono Spiral Belt with High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord enhances slide controllability and line-holding through corners. The optimised pattern configuration helps increase wet performance while reducing noise.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the new Yamaha VMAX which has received high praise from the motorcycle press. Vorne rollt die neue VMAX auf einem Reifen der Dimension Bridgestone 120/70 R18 59V BT 028 , die enormen Antriebskräfte werden von einem Pneu im Format Bridgestone 200/50 R18 76V BT 028 auf den Asphalt übertragen.
Das Vorderrad verfügt über eine Kreuzgürtel-Konstruktion, bei der das Zusammenspiel aus Profil und Gummimischung für ein leichtes, neutrales Handling und für eine hohe Laufleistung sorgt. Diese Konstruktion trägt entscheidend mit dazu bei, die beeindruckende Yamaha VMAX sicher zu beherrschen.
Beim Profil des Hinterrades wurde vor allem Wert auf Traktion gelegt. Die gewaltige Power der Yamaha VMAX muss schließlich ihren Weg auf die Strasse finden. Für 2007 haben wir die farbigen Winkelventile in unsere Produktpalette mit aufgenommen.
Mit zunehmender Raddrehzahl nehmen Flieh- oder Zentrifugalkräfte überproportional zu. Dadurch haben konventionell gefertigte Radial-Radventile ab einer bestimmten Fahrgeschwindigkeit ihre Probleme.
Im Gegensatz zu normalen Gummiventilen brauchen die Aluventile nicht bei jedem Reifenwechsel erneuert werden.

 2006 - Nachdem man vor kurzem schon das eigene Produktangebot um farbige Ausgleichsgewichte ergänzt hatte, will Tip Top Stahlgruber nun auch die Palette seiner Winkelventile für Motorräder um zwei farbige Aluminiumventile erweitern. Ab August sollen Farbvarianten in Schwarz oder Gold verfügbar sein, damit Motorradfahrer bei entsprechend lackierten Felgen auch ein farblich passendes Winkelventil montieren können.
Die farbig eloxierten Varianten sind in den Größen 8,3 mm bzw. 11,3 mm erhältlich und sind mit einer Metallkappe gleicher Farbe bestückt.
Motorradwinkelventile bieten den entscheidenden Vorteil des erleichterten Zugangs zum Ventil. So können Reifen leichter beföllt bzw. der Reifendruck einfacher kontrolliert werden. Störende Bremsscheiben oder Speichen stellen nach der Montage eines Winkelventils kein Hindernis mehr dar.
Mit den farbigen Ventilen und Ausgleichsgewichten könnten Motorradfahrer den lackierten Felgen ihrer Maschine außerdem den letzten Schliff geben.
Neu im Sortiment sind auch die farbigen Wuchtgewichte.

 Prominent motorcycle tyre manufacturer Dunlop has launched the Sportmax Roadsmart, designed for sport touring motorcycles. This is a tyre that Dunlop is confident delivers outstanding performance on wet roads and matchless all around sport touring performance, qualities that are the fruit of more than two years global research effort.
The new tyre, which is reported to out-perform its predecessor, the Sportmax D220ST, in all areas, shows strong performance improvement on wet surfaces. This result was obtained whilst improving the conflicting demand of mileage performance, which was already recognised as one of the major strengths of the Sportmax D220ST.
“These improvements result from the combination of our latest Dunlop Sportmax hypersport tyres’ attributes with new compounding and construction technologies for an optimised performance in all riding, road and weather conditions,” said Sanjay Khanna, managing director Dunlop Motorcycle.
